Today Dominique Anglade became leader of the Quebec Liberal Party after challenger Alexandre Cusson dropped out citing the difficulties of running a leadership campaign during the pandemic.
Dominique Anglade is the first woman to run for the leadership of the Quebec Liberals in their 150 years of existence. She is also the first black woman to lead the official opposition. I would like to sincerely congratulate Ms. Anglade on her historic victory and I look forward to debating her neoliberal policies going forward.
Ms. Angelade got her start in Quebec politics as president of current premier Francois Legault’s right wing Coalition Avenir Quebec party.
