This weekend, members of the Green Party of Quebec in Montreal and Quebec City held general assemblies for the formation and renewal of two regional associations regrouping their members!

Both regions will now have a strong team of dedicated members who will participate in defining local priorities, organizing events for members and preparing for the 2022 elections by identifying potential candidates and building relationships with local environmental and social justice groups.

The Montreal Association has identified racial profiling as a key issue to address in the coming weeks. The Quebec City Association has prioritized public transit, the network structuring and member participation. Please contact Alain Joseph Spokesperson for Culture and Communications if you wish to get involved in the Montreal Association and Nicholas Lescarbeau if you wish to get involved in the Quebec City Association!

Both associations are led by a strong team of members with varying degrees of previous involvement with the party. Some have been candidates and spokespersons, others have been volunteers and are getting involved for the first time.

As leader of the party, it will be a pleasure for me to work with these two dynamic teams made up of extraordinary people! In the coming weeks and months, we will be working on the creation of member associations in several regions of the province! Do not hesitate to contact me or the party if you wish to get involved!

We’re moving forward, we’re moving forward, we’re not going backwards!

Alex Tyrrell
Leader of the Green Party of Quebec
